Judges' Library

About Library

The Judges’ Library of the Gauhati High Court, Itanagar Permanent Bench at Naharlagun is the grid of library located in the Registry, libraries attached to the Hon’ble Courts and Hon’ble Judges’ Bungalows. The Library works under guidance and direction of the Hon’ble Library Committee of the Gauhati High Court, Principal Seat at Guwahati. As per the guideline of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the Judges’ Library is presently using the customized version of 'Koha' software for the library management and services.

Library Services

The Library is providing the following services to achieve the required information to the Hon’ble Courts, Hon’ble Judges and to the Officials of the Registry.

  1. Legal search and Literature search services.
  2. Current Awareness services.
  3. Reference Services.
  4. Information Retrieval Services.
  5. Legal information Retrieval through legal databases.
  6. Other related services as assigned.
Library Collection

The Judges’ Library is having a good collection of Commentary law books, Bare Acts, Reference Books, Periodicals, Encyclopaedias, Manuals, Gazettes and Legal Databases to support the need of the Hon’ble Courts and the Hon’ble Judges. Currently the Judges’ Library is also subscribing the following Newspapers and Magazines:
